Craft2Success Workshops

The Craft2Success project has reached an important milestone with the successful implementation of local workshops across Ireland, Portugal, Estonia, and Belgium. These Craft2success workshops brought together women artisans, migrant women, refugees, and aspiring entrepreneurs, creating spaces where creativity, digital skills, and entrepreneurship could flourish side by side.

Designed to support women’s economic empowerment through artisan crafts, the workshops focused on helping participants transform their talents and traditional skills into sustainable opportunities. Through a combination of practical training, interactive activities, and collaborative learning, participants explored how digital tools can help them reach wider audiences and strengthen their entrepreneurial potential.

In Ireland, women artisans participated in the workshop series “Create, Connect, Sell: Digital Skills for Women Artisans.” The sessions introduced participants to digital storytelling, branding, social media promotion, and e-commerce strategies, equipping them with practical skills to showcase and market their products online.

In Portugal, ten migrant and refugee women took part in a workshop that combined entrepreneurship and creativity. After engaging in discussions on digital skills and business opportunities, participants worked together on handmade products, applying the knowledge gained throughout the sessions while exchanging experiences and cultural traditions.

Similarly, in Belgium, ten migrant women participated in a dynamic workshop focused on empowerment through creativity and entrepreneurship. The women collaborated on handmade creations, strengthening not only their practical skills but also their confidence and sense of community. The workshop highlighted how creative activities can foster inclusion, social connection, and personal growth.

Meanwhile, in Estonia, participants completed a three-day training programme covering storytelling, brand identity, smartphone photography, visual content creation, digital tools, online selling, and e-commerce strategies. Women learned how to develop their personal brands, create compelling digital content, and navigate online marketplaces, gaining valuable insights into the modern creative economy.

Across all four countries, the Craft2Success workshops demonstrated the powerful connection between tradition and innovation. Participants discovered how digital technologies can complement traditional craftsmanship, opening doors to new markets while preserving cultural heritage and creative expression.

Beyond the technical skills acquired, the Craft2Success workshops fostered confidence, collaboration, and a sense of belonging among participants. Women were encouraged to share their stories, celebrate their talents, and envision new possibilities for their futures.

The successful completion of these workshops represents more than a project milestone—it reflects the growing potential of women artisans across Europe to become active contributors to the digital economy. Through Craft2Success, participants are gaining the tools, knowledge, and confidence needed to transform creativity into opportunity and build a more inclusive and sustainable future.
